Since the mass influx of Rohingya refugees into Bangladesh August 2017, over 1 million individuals have been residing in Cox’s Bazar refugee camps under challenging conditions. Among them, women face significant vulnerabilities due to limited access to education, employment opportunities, and resources for economic independence. They are fully dependent on men like husbands, brothers, fathers, and sons. They have limited choice.
BRSU takes initiative Empowering Rohingya women through skill development and income-generating activities is crucial for improving their livelihoods, enhancing their social status, and contributing to the overall resilience of the refugee community.
To enhance the economic empowerment of Rohingya women by providing sewing and tailoring skills training and facilitating access to livelihood opportunities, thereby promoting self-reliance and improving household income within the refugee camp.
